TT Kidz Awards Scheme

The TT Kidz awards scheme is a great way to engage junior players into table tennis.

The awards scheme compliments both clubs that have delivered the 8 week TT Kidz programme and those that already have a strong U11 junior set up or structure.

The awards scheme has been developed to allow participants to progress at their own pace and ability; making it inclusive for all.

How does the Awards scheme work?

Stage 1 and 2 of the awards scheme is focused on the basic key skills all players need to develop. Each challenge has been designed so that regardless of ability, every participant has the opportunity to succeed.

Stage 3, 4 and 5 are more challenging; enabling participants to start working towards the next steps of their journey. This includes specific focus on certain areas of the game.

Not always about the game time but wider objectives in sport e.g. umpiring, friend making, outdoor table.

Make the award’s scheme part of your club!

The award scheme consists of 5 stages- 1 being entry level and 5 being the most challenging. Whilst we have included a few suggestions below, the TT Kidz award programme can be run to suit your organisations set up.

All participants that are taking part in the programme will receive a stage specific activity booklet including a membership lanyard with a name tag on it. Please note, if you have delivered the 8 week TT Kidz programme (from 2021), the participants will already have the lanyard and name tag.

  1. Junior delivery or TT Kidz 8 week delivery and the award scheme can be set as homework or challenges to complete before the next session.
  2. The awards scheme could be an extension of the 8 week programme i.e. the challenges can be worked through as part of delivery
  3. The awards scheme can use the awards scheme to focus some of delivery on and set other uncompleted tasks to complete at home.

All participants that are taking part in the programme will receive a stage specific activity booklet including a membership lanyard with a name tag on it.
